More Blogs in Education

Today's National Council of Teachers of English e-newsletter included a couple of links to articles about teachers using blogs.

This article from the Palm Beach Post describes how bloggers are pushing blogging past mere journaling, and the article "Reading, Blogging, and 'Rithmetic?" is a wide-ranging piece that discusses privacy, collegiality, limited resources, and developing voice.

I am fascinated by how this medium can have so many applications for individuals and groups.

Donna- I too share your fascination with blogging. I think the rest of the world is just starting to come around, but as the media starts using blogs as references and to take the pulse of the American public I am sure more people will be jumping on the bandwagon. You will be proud to say -- you were one of the first.
